Visiting
My name is SeanMonet and I am a 'Black' mini with Minis and Friends. My bro is MasterCard (he's a golden palomino) and we live at Onion Creek Ranch with Buckshot. I am also 3 years old and have been in local horse shows and many parades before I came to live with my humans Gil and Sally. They brought me home with them to give MasterCard a pal...
We go to many places - all of them related to visits with the elderly, medically fragile, special needs children, At-Risk youth and adults that also need our sunshine to brighten their day.
We also do event visits at many locations so we can meet more people. We were at the Barnes and Noble bookstore in Sunset Valley at their Storytime and Photoshoot on December 8. It was great fun! We were indoors where it was warm and we had lots of attention and people meeting us after the story about "Itty and Bitty" 2 miniature horses on a farm... The picture here is me (the black with blue halter), our friend from Barnes and Noble and my bro Mastercard (he's white in winter).
Other pictures we've added to this are a visit to a nursing home in Georgetown - this is our little friend filly Skittles who is always a big hit! She loves to visit with the elderly and youth. You can see she made many new friends that day.
My human had me blessed at the St.Francis Blessing of the Animals. That's my human mom in the cap and the father of the church blessing me. He was so happy to see me. I have a neat charm now for my halter when we do visits.
I thought you'd like to see my friend again Skittles from the Buddy Walk in Georgetown which was in Oct 2007. We didn't go to this because we need better transportation to get us to further distances (we need a donated MiniVan - can you help?)... but my humans went to this event to support our Georgetown minis and their human Candy and Dean. They had a blast and met many new people who want us to come visit them.
Gotta go for now - our Georgetown buddies will be posting soon to tell you about themselves and Buckshot's mini-mom at the ranch too to tell you about visiting at the Austin Celtic Festival in November...
Visit us at Minis and Friends.org - we need donations to help keep us working in the community - we may be small, but we eat like horses :-)
See ya ...
